We built Common Ladder to help people, not to collect data about them. Here's what we do and don't do.
What we collect
Almost nothing. Common Ladder does not require an account to use any part of the site. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifying information from people browsing the site.
We may collect anonymous usage analytics — page views and general geographic location at the city level — to understand how the platform is being used and where resources are needed most. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individuals.
Cookies
We may use minimal session cookies to support tool functionality (for example, remembering a search filter during a session). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any cookies that follow you across sites.
Third-party services
Common Ladder is hosted on GitHub Pages. Our CoC Finder and related tools use publicly available HUD and government data sources. We do not share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketing platforms. We do not monetize this site or its users.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The site is designed as a public resource and does not include features that collect personal information from any user.
Your rights
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete. If you have previously emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, contact corrections.commonladder@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
